Identity traps
The first trap is comparing different wears as if they were one item. The second is borrowing a default price for StatTrak or Souvenir. The third is ignoring phase or pattern when that difference is what creates the premium.
Match every identity field before comparing numbers. If exact coverage is missing, mark the decision unresolved instead of filling the gap with a superficially similar item.
Transaction traps
The fourth trap is treating the lowest observed listing as immediately usable. The fifth is ignoring fees and conversion at checkout. Open the destination and compare the complete transaction under your own account conditions.
A direct marketplace link is a verification step, not an endorsement or a promise that the displayed listing remains available.
PreiseVisual and total traps
The sixth trap is paying for a lower float without confirming that you prefer the appearance. The seventh is treating a loadout estimate as a single guaranteed basket when its items come from changing external markets.
Inspect the exact item, keep a buffer, and compare complete builds. The correct outcome may be to wait, change wear, or preserve the current version rather than forcing a purchase because the plan has a number beside it.
