The displayed number may not be the final cost
CS2 Labs uses marketplace data to support planning, but each destination controls its own checkout, fees, payment methods, and settlement currency. A small headline difference can disappear after those conditions are included.
Open the destination before treating one source as cheaper. Confirm the listing still exists and that it represents the exact variant compared in the builder.
Compare the complete transaction
Write down the item price, buyer fee, currency conversion, payment cost, and any restriction relevant to using or withdrawing the item. Do not subtract a potential future resale value from today’s cost; that introduces a second uncertain transaction.
If one listing is trade-locked and another is immediately tradable, decide whether timing is part of your requirement. The lower number and the more useful listing may be different.
- Exact item, wear, quality, phase, and pattern where relevant.
- Final checkout currency and conversion rate.
- Buyer, deposit, withdrawal, or payment fees that apply to you.
- Trade status and marketplace-specific account requirements.
Record the decision, not a permanent ranking
A marketplace that is best for one item today may not be best for the next. Save the loadout choice, but recheck the destination when you are ready to act rather than treating an old comparison as a standing recommendation.
