How Steam inventory sync works on CS2 Labs

What sync is for
Inventory sync helps distinguish items already owned from possible purchases. CS2 Labs uses that context to highlight ownership across the builder, public loadouts, and catalog pages so planning can begin with the collection a player already has.
Authentication and inventory access
Steam sign-in establishes account identity through the configured authentication flow. Inventory availability still depends on Steam visibility and service responses. A private or unavailable inventory cannot be reconstructed by CS2 Labs, and a temporary upstream failure should not be interpreted as an empty collection.
Before connecting
Review the privacy policy, use the official sign-in flow, and never provide a Steam password directly to CS2 Labs. Ownership indicators are planning aids; marketplace transactions remain on their respective external services. If you no longer want the connection, use the available account controls or contact CS2 Labs for a privacy request.
